The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.
The bathroom in our room did not have a door since the design was meant to be open-concept. This might be ok for a married couple, but for two friends travelling together it is not ideal. The hotel is well situated on long street, but it is also not a good place for someone who needs quiet in order to sleep. The nightlife activities on this street are very loud throughout most of the night.
Great location, great design, amazing rooms.....in other words: perfect!
Breakfast is poor....you don't understand if the "breakfast included in room price" means continental breakfast or all inclusive, since the staff is handing a menu with prices.....another thing, we came to have breakfast an hour before the official breakfast end time and there was almost no food available....
Oh I love love love Cape Town. The staff at hotel just made my so much better! No task was too difficult for them to complete even though I am quite directionally challenged and literally need directions everywhere. I loved the cleanliness of the room and the hotel in General - clean lines "chic" design. Bathroom was spacious and the bath was nice an deep so I could submerge completely. The Eastern Palace serves sushi which is my all time favourite food and it was simply divine - and priced really well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends looking for a great central looking amongst the buzz of the city
The room was beautifully decorated and huge! Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value for money!
Being in Long Street, the hotel was quite noisy (clubs, pubs and crowds) till the early hours of the morning... We only managed to fall asleep after the noise died down..
A very intimate boutique hotel with excellent service and fantastic rooms! The design of the rooms is great, very clean and modern! Love the showers. The attention to detail of the rooms and the turndown service are very impressive! Staff are very warm and welcoming!!
Location, design and spacious rooms! Staff are amazing with a great knowledge of the area. Very welcoming! The bar and restaurant are great with a good choice of food and great service too.
i liked the friendliness and willing to help atmosphere. the staff showed intertest in the clients and what they wanted to do and see etc. very pleasant staff.
everything was off a high standard.
The downstairs bar and lounge is quite nice and the couches are very comfortable. The staff is also very helpful.
Hallway did smell like garbage... also very very noisy on the street so make sure you are not a light sleeper.
The location was good and initial service good.
The room and passage smelled like smoke. The turn down service was late after I confirmed it several times.
Central location, clean rooms, complimentary breakfast and wifi internet, 24 hour concierge
Great location in Long St, excellent staff, comfortable room, great bath.
Location; Value; Parking; Breakfast; style
Noise( but understandable at location); Silly room layout eg bedlamp switches not in reach of beds , no room Clock, no convenient socket to charge phone/computer , incomprehensible wifi , missing documentation (menus, Minibar info etc.,
Very little, dreadful in room maintenance (handle broken on nightstand, no bulb in table lamp, no milk for tea/coffee) on arrival the key card did not work, only gained entrance to the room when staff used a master key. To end on a good note the parking was excellent. Will always use any alternative accommodation to this hotel
The room and shower is very good. The location is good for a young couple. as it is walking distance from several bars and restaurants. It is also in a safe area.
Because the hotel is located in a very busy street, the rooms are very noisy! I advise the owner to add a double glass window in the rooms to allow the guests to sleep well. The breakfast is very poor. There are not fresh fruit and bread. In addition, the service is slow and it takes at least 1 hour to have a cappucino with toats. We decided to have breakfast outside the hotel, even if it was already included into the room rate.
staff were so helpfull, in every way. very high standard of rooms great view of TM city location with parking
noisy in some front rooms
Centrally located in a vibrant street Stunning view of Table Mountain Good value for money Good breakfasts
Shower had mould and was never properly cleaned The towels were not fresh, they had a musty smell The carpet had seen better days and was quite stained and overdue for replacement The rooms do not seal out the noise from the street
